Welcome Baby Emma!!!

We had a wonderful visit with Amy, Cora and Emma this week.  Emma is one month old and TINY!!!  She slept most of the time we were there but Noah did get to hold her a little bit.  It is so wonderful to see a new baby and to see our friends so happy!!!  The kids played all day with no worries and it was super sweet.... can't wait to do it again!

Muddy Fun

We were invited to a playdate at a local playground after school last week.  Noah eventually got bored on the playset and he and his friends headed to the bocce court and started making sand sculptures.  Later they remembered that they had water bottles and it became a full village of mud pits and mini-towns.  The kids were COVERED in mud when we left and we couldn't have been happier!!!

Hamentaschen

I had the privilege of leading the Oxford Presbyterian Women's retreat last weekend at Mariawald Retreat Center in Shillington, PA.  It was a completely different experience without so much pressure!  I loved planing and carrying out a full weekend experience based on the book of Esther!!!  And I had time to bake these YUMMY purim treats to go with the story.  What fun!

Karate

We started taking Karate a few weeks ago.  Noah has been asking since we lived in Oxford.  We found an amazing teacher and studio in West Chester that is only one day a week (I didn't want two days a week) and he can go before school.  Two of his friends are already in the class which makes it even better! 

The first week and this week Noah received a medal which means that he was one of the top three listeners in the class that week.  You get to take home one of the sense's medals for the week and then bring it back.  This class is perfect for Noah to work on slowing down and concentrating on steps instead of rushing through things.

The class is for ages 4 and up so naturally Maeve is too small.  She sits at the door to the studio like this the entire time without moving and then practices the moves in her bedroom.  The class is partly in Korean and she is even saying the Korean words (and I have no idea what they mean!!!!).  This has been a wonderful experience for us so far!

Playdate

 Some friends from Oxford were headed our way and we met at a local park.  We had a blast...  Noah was playing with the digger and this was his intentional way of playing... not accidental..  who knows how his brain works!!!

 Followed by a fun pizza lunch!!!!
