The Oxford Festival

Every year in September there is a festival in downtown Oxford. The park and the streets are filled with music and vendors. It is one of the great things about living right down town. This year all three of us decided to participate in the 5K. (Well, sort of... I ran it, Noah and Paul walked it but got detoured/lost and only went about 1/2 way!). One of my amazing friends ran it with a 4 year old in a stroller -- she stopped several times to help her child and she still beat most people in the race! The rain managed to hold off for the morning but as the day went on it just poured and poured. Good thing I don't have to much work to do and Noah is napping!

Movie Night

I highly recommend this wacky movie. Paul and I got out for a date last Friday (thanks mom!) and went to an amazing wine bar in Paoli (Cosimo's) and then to see Burn After Reading. It was wonderfully odd and very surprising.

What I'm Reading

I heard a radio interview with this author the day my friend Amy brought her baby home from the hospital. I loved her interview so much and I have been meaning to buy the book for a while. I finally got it and I LOVE it. It is so accurate about the temporary (?) insanity of new motherhood and how it is NOTHING like what you see in books or movies. She is so honest and emotional and forthright and I wish I would have had the book ages ago. I highly reccomend it to all preggo ladies and mommies alike.

Favorite Foto Friday (#8)

This is a picture from the beach in 07. On the last night we went to a Japanese Steak House. I just love the faces of Yaz and Kat (the two women in the center).
