Camp Crew +3 (or more!)

Well, our group of friends has been getting together for about 10 years... since we graduated from high school (some before that, some after that). We try to get together a few times a year and keep in touch in between. It's amazing how close we all still are... we've taken vacations together, spent holidays together, and now it seems that many people in our group are having babies. For memorial day we got together to meet the 2 new babies and of course Noah is a not so new addition to the group.. so now camp is +3! It was so fun to hold the babies and get to know them a little bit more.. of course we also needed our standard camp photo!!

We weren't sure who liked Elmo's Numbers Video more...

Cora was getting feisty!

I forget how little they are!!!!

I guess the best thing is just knowing we have each other. We talked for hours and our experiences are valid, even though we don't see each other that often. It sounds cheesy but we always sang the song by Michael W. Smith in high school -- Friends are friends forever if the Lord's the Lord of them... and we have always believed that. Yeah!!!!! Welcome precious new little ones!!!

To celebrate...

We took our anniversary on the road for a short trip away. We left early Saturday morning to head to Philly for the night. We walked around South street and went shopping, had middle easter food for lunch, picked out which houses we wanted to buy and enjoyed the glorious sunshine. After we checked in, we relaxed for a bit, headed to Rittenhouse Square (where 4 years ago a homeless person in the park told us our fate...) for a walk, and went to dinner at Brassier Perrier. A young couple was sitting next to us (notice, we are NOT the young couple anymore!) and they had both just graduated from college and were looking for a new city to live in. They had no kids, no house, no responsibility and though I wouldn't trade my place in life, I had almost forgotten what life was like in their shoes! After dinner we saw Cirque du Soleil which was AMAZING!!! trapeze artists and contortionists to the extreme! We intended on a big night on the town after that but it was 11:30 and we went back to the hotel to change and fell asleep! Only to wake up at 10AM the next day. We're such partiers!

It was an amazing time though.. just to stroll through town and laugh and enjoy life... yippee!!
