Tea Party

We had a tea party this morning for the mom's group at the local tea house. We dressed Noah up in a tie and coat and headed off. I was a little unsure of how he would do with fancy glasses and hot tea, but decided to go anyway. When we got there, Noah was thrilled! He went right over to the dress up clothes and just had a blast trying on everything! It was so much fun....

LOOT!

Well, we are working on this potty training thing... and it's going pretty well. Noah loves all the attention he gets when we read and sing on the potty. We read to use positive reinforcement and so he gets Blues Clues stickers when he goes on the potty and he carries them around like his little bounty.

Shoes to fill...

at some point or another all little kids put on their dad's shoes. not all kids put them on going in the opposite directions! it was so cute (and sad!) as Noah kept collapsing when he tried to walk. he did finally get it!!!

Mommy, I found a pen!

Well, someone left a pen laying around and Noah gave himself his first tatoos!!!!

Play Time

Every day when I pick up Noah we have a few hours alone of random play time. If you really want to know the details (and I know you do) today Noah and I came home, had a snack and then he went on the potty!!! I was so proud of him (how weird am I?!). When we came into the living room to play, he inisisted on playing in the bookshelf (I know it's not safe) and he was trying to put the Mr. Potato parts on his body (this is him trying to put the feet on himself. Of course shortly after this he kicked in the shelf above him and all of his puzzles and the shelf fell on him to which he yelled at the top of his lungs PUZZLE! Adorable.

Free Weekend at the Beach!

Paul and I decided to attend a retreat at the beach last weekend. It was mandatory for me, but then the church paid for Paul and childcare was free! The hotel was on the beach and it was a great time. Noah loved the sand and the ocean --- he just wanted to go in though! It was a fantastic time for all of us.
